Hey, i know that if a girl is very althetically involved then she might occasionally skip her period. I was wondering how unheathy this is. thanks

It is also possible, if you're missing periods, that it is due to diet or exercise. If you aren't eating enough, or are overexercising (more than four hours a day, or running over ten miles a day), it throws your system out of whack, and you may begin to miss periods. Take care of yourself. Be sure to eat enough calories for the calories you burn, get enough rest, and eat a well-balanced diet.

It can be fairly normal for a girl to skip a period if and period can take up to five years to become regular.

But in the end, your period should regulate itself. For example, it is possible that some women only have their period four times a year. But if your period is highly irregular, I would suggest you go to a gynaecologist and inform him or her about it.
