i was just wondering first of all, where i can get the pill without my parents finding out. i live in a suburb of chicago, and i know that there's a planned parenthood in the city, but it's too far for me. and how much does the pill cost at clinics like that? i heard something about a teen discount- i'm 16- is it cheaper for me? and lastly, are there any drugs that interact with the pill that make it ineffective? and are there any cases of the pill failing even if you follow the instructions and take it at the same time everyday? ok thanks!

yes, Planned Parenthood offers the Pill on a sliding scale for young people -- you pay what you can. They are confidential, however we highly suggest that you let your parents know you're on the Pill because it is a part of your medical history. besides, trust between young folks and their parents is a wonderful thing.
as for potential drug interactions. antibiotics are notorious for causing pill failure. smoking and the pill are a combination that is known for cauing strokes and internal blood clots. excessive drinking and drg use can also interfere with the pill's success.
and with all things, there is still that microscopic chance that you might be the one person in ten thousand to use the Pill properly, and still have it fail you. Besides, the Pill doesn't guard against STDs. theseare the reasons we always say to use condoms even while on the Pill.
