i think i have a uti but my period is just starting right now
should i wait it out and then go see a doc?
it would be kind of hard for them to collect urine samples with me on my period no?

Collecting urine samples while you're having your period should be no problem. After all, it's just peeing in a cup, and having your period doesn't interfere with that. However, if the doctor is going to do any sort of physical examination, it would definitely be less messy if you weren't on your period at the time. I suggest just calling the doctor's office (or have your mom do it), explaining that you suspect you have a urinary tract infection (UTI), and asking if having your period will interfere with the exam. Any nurse there should be able to give you a quick answer.
