I had a fantasy about a girl I liked and it really turned me on. This was in the middle of me trying to come to terms with my gender identity and wanting to become male. It was so embarrasing that I forgot where my locker was the next morning at school. Since then, after talking about it with the counselor, and thinking about being accepted by males, my sexual stamina towards girls has lowered and men have slowly been wedging their way in between. I can't tell, but I am feeling confused. Am I starting to like guys again, or was I just that embarrassed??

I would consider what you are experiencing as being very normal. You are at an age where (like others your age) your body, mind, and emotions are going through multiple changes and will continue to do so for a while. Most people your age do not have clear and permanent answers as to who they are and what they are looking for in life. Your situation basically isn’t different. Besides that, there isn’t always a definitive (black or white) answer when it comes to identity. Many people are various shades of gray, which can fluctuate for some dependant upon different individuals they meet. You said that you have a counselor, I would suggest talking about this with them too since can they interact with you in real time. I just want to reaffirm that I consider your confusion to be normal and it is just one of many things in life that will need time and patience to work through. I hope this helps!
