Well, I think that speaks for itself. I'm thinking I'm an FtM transgendered person, and I seriously need passing tips. I'm just not very good at it. [Roll Eyes] Binding isn't a huge problem for me, but my hips are. I have very wide hips and a big arse, I'm afraid. Does anyone have any suggestions for minimizing that and generally making me more plausible as a guy.

Google it. Seriously. I used to know a few good sites because I was friends with an FtM (sadly, we've since lost touch) and there are a wealth of really neat pages out there with tips on passing. Just run a search on it and I'm sure you'll find them.

I think it's also really important to remember that body diversity exists between people of all sexes.

While wide hips aren't exactly the norm for bio-guys, butt-size certainly is all over the map, and some bio-men DO have wide hips.

You could try wearing a thick down vest on top, might make the transition into your hips less obvious.

Along the lines of what Light said, a loose shirt works too. If you hide your waist, your hips won't look as wide. You'll want to create a rectangular shape in that area. For maximum effect the bottom of the shirt should cut right across the middle of your hips, sort of dividing that area into a top and bottom half. Covering them completely or stopping short of them makes them look wider than they already are.

Pant legs should be loose fitting and straight, meaning they're the same width from top to bottom. If they narrow even slightly at the ankle, knee or anywhere else they create width in the hip area. Before you buy pants, fold the leg so that the bottom of the leg meets the top. You know for sure that the legs don't narrow anywhere if you don't see any overlap.

Another tip: Some shirts create the illusion of broader shoulders which also helps to balance out the hip area. You might want to shop around and experiment with different shirts.

It's really amazing what just the right combination of clothing pieces can do. I'm hippy and bootyful myself and that sort of combo worked for me even though I never even wanted to pass in the first place. (Huge cosmic clothing coincidence and a very, very, very long story) effective. [Big Grin]
