Wonderful main article by scarleteen about Sex, Gender etc. However, I am one of the subject stated above. There are people who are labled, for the sake of convenience "Transsexual" whose genetic sex chromosome matrix is different to that of a simple sex chromosome blood test. I was borne with grossly undersized genitalia and at the age of 3, knew that I was a girl. When I was in my teens I never had a "desire" to be female, I had an irresistable, unstoppable, compulsive drive to either committ suicide or get myself sorted out. I never looked male. I had a brain scan carried out and I was informed that it was female. I "transitioned", incidently it only took me 9 months from being diagnosed with a female brain to having had "corrective surgery". While I was transitioning, I might have been transsexual. However, after finding a way to stay alive I am no longer a transsexual, but a woman. If anybody asks me I tell them that I was always a girl/woman and nothing else because that is what I am and have always known from the age of 3. When I was being carried in my mother's womb I had an inordinate amont of oestrogen passed into my system. I am only 5 1/2 feet tall have female hands no adam's apple very very feminine features and take no female hormones. I had a blood chromosome test carried out many years ago. The result was XY. I had a DNA test carried out a few years ago and all of the Chromosome matricies were XX except for one pair? But all people like me want to do is just go to the doctor, get a cure, then having been cured, get on with our lives. It concerns me that Transsexual people don't object to being informed that the have a "desire" to change. There are about the quantity, mentioned in the subject of this posting, of people in the world like me and I just thought I would give us a mention.
