What kinds of things do you do (or SHOULD be doing) to stay safe at work or school?
From a sexual health perspective, anyone working in a medical field worries about needle sticks. But more general than that, do you always lift properly? Do you know where/who to ask if something happens? Does your company or school have safety policies?

I happen to work at an urgent care clinic that is part of a hospital, so we are always being drilled into about the proper way to lift and whatnot. Since I check people in, we always have some lovely alcohol foam for quick hand sanitizings between patients, as well as access to a lot of sinks for proper handwashes. We have mandatory online classes about many things, including health and safety at work. If anythign ever happens, we have lots of doctors around, as well as the hospital employee nurse, who is only a phone call and short car ride away.

At school? I'm a nursing student, so we also have the safety thing going on there, as well. And yep, the needle stick thing does kind of worry me, but I know how to handle needles, and i make sure to always go slowly and be careful whenever there is a syringe or needle around.
