Before reading this please note that I do have a doctor's appointment to discuss this problem, so that step's already being taken [Smile] I just am curious to see if anyone else has experienced this...

For the last couple of weeks, I have woken up to find my ankle and knee (on my right leg) very stiff and painful to move.

About 3 days ago, I woke up and the pain in my ankle was very severe- it is tender to the touch and there are a series of quarter-sized bumps along the front of my ankle to the top of my foot. It no longer has its full range of motion and feels swollen, although the only area that looks different is that of the bumps. There's no bruising, but it feels bruised. In fact, the feeling is quite similar to that of a sprained ankle, except limited to the surface of my foot.

Strange.... has anyone else experienced this? It really sucks, I can't wear a shoe on that foot because it pushes on the bumps and causes pain... bah!! :S

Oh, I should also note that last summer I had erythema nodosum on my shins and the bumps have a similar feel, although I don't think they're the same thing... (I had it before because of an accidental dual vaccination for Hepatitis A & B)
