So theirs a planned parenthood. It to far from me and I was wondering what kinds of birth control they offer and how I can get them. It also says on their site that they offer birth control pills for $30 without insurance. How would I be able to get these? I'm not comfortable with anyone seeing me let alone touching me unless it's my boyfriend. I just want to know my options and if these would be put on my medical record. Thanks!

The best way to find all this out would be to give them a call and ask about their birth control options, payment methods, and how they handle privacy. Each clinic may be a little different so we can't know exactly how they handle this, but the folks working there certainly will!

Ok thank you!!! And I had another question. So I saw your page about birth control effectiveness. Me and my boyfriend are currently planning on using a condom and a sponge (which you had listed as like 97% I think) was that with the sponge containing spermicide? I don't know if they all have that or not. We're also trying to be smart and and scheduling t around the time we can best guess I'm not ovulating (I get my period every month and it's very regular. Usually it's only a day or 2 off from when I last got it.) and he said he's planning on pulling out. I know it may sound like we're paranoid about pregnancy but neither of us can afford children. My boyfriend also being the son of a teen mom knows how hard it is to grow up like that and his mom does not want that for us so were trying to be as safe as we can. Thanks!

If you are looking for data on combining methods, this page should be a good starting point: The Buddy System: Effectiveness Rates for Backing Up Your Birth Control With a Second Method

If you want to also chart your ovulation, you'll want to be aware that that only does you any good if you diligently chart your basal temperature and cervical mucus daily, and even then it will take you a few months to be able to see any sort of a pattern emerge. If you are interested in learning how to do that, you can read up on FAM here: Get With the Flow: All About FAM

But I do have to be honest here and say that it sounds to me like you are putting the cart before the horse here a little. I have seen your other threads in which you are still talking about learning to be comfortable with nudity with your partner, and in one thread you've also mentioned that you currently do not have any privacy.

While it is smart to be prepared, it does sound to me a little like you are getting ahead of yourself here and worrying about things that you do not need to worry about just yet. Your time may be better spent focusing on where you are at right now.

I know. And I just want to be prepared.
