Last night I had sex. I've been on my Bc for almost a year and take it pretty close to the same time everyday and haven't skipped or missed a pill in a while. What is the risk of pregnancy while on your period durning your placebo week and not using a condom? I am also fairly positive that he pulled out.

Is there more of a risk when on placebo pills since you're not taking an active one or are you fully covered always?

Hi Winterx3,

No, the risk is not higher when you're taking the placebo pills.

Here's more information to explain that.

How do birth control pills really work, even during the placebo period?

Here too is some information on birth control pills, complete with their effectiveness rates.

Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill)
