Hi there guys,
I had sex with my boyfriend and we made sure to use condoms (latex) however when doing so, at one point we used Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to act as a lubricant, neither of us were aware that it could damage a condom..
What does this damage entail? And what is it exactly that vaseline do to a condom? To be safe I took the morning after pill too.

Thankyou! x

What Vaseline or other petroleum-based substances can do is degrade the latex of condoms so they are thinner in spots and more likely to break.

(Vaseline also is something that can trap bacteria inside the vagina, so, as it says on the jar, it's not meant for internal use, and the vagina is an internal organ.)
