Well I take the pill Junel. Well things went well at first with it but then it started to make me bleed when I wasn't supposed to be. I took one of my pills a little late one day and all of a sudden I'm bleeding a week early. Well last month I took them all on time and I still bleed when I wasn't supposed to be, but this time it was a week late. Yesterday my alarm didn't go off but I woke up twenty minutes after I was supposed to take my pill and I took it immediately and this morning I wake up and I am bleeding... I am only on the beginning of the second week of my pill pack... I have two more weeks to go before I am supposed to have my period... I don't think this is healthy to bleed this much... what should I do? I don't think that I should take them anymore... Please let me know what you think and of any other birth control methods that work and would be a good alternative.

Breakthrough bleeding is a common side effect with hormonal contraceptives, and it isn't an indication of anything dangerous to your health.

If you like using the pill, you can talk to whoever prescribes it for you, and they can see if a brand associated less with breakthrough bleeding makes a difference for you.
