so, i finished taking my placebo pills on saturday, and took my last active pill of the packet. on sunday, i enganged in sexual activity three times - without a condom, as i am on the pill and my period is very light because i've finished my placebos. when i got home that night, i realised i had no more packs of pills and got some today. what is the chance of pregnancy, and should i take an active pill now - or wait til my regular time in five hours? thankyou.

nah bowse.

With most birth controls after you miss one active pill, the rule of thumb is to take it as soon as you remember, then take the one for the current day at the regular time. So take the first pill of the pack ASAP, then the second at your scheduled time. There is a pretty slight risk of pregnancy, but the odds decrease the quicker you get that first active pill in your system. Most manufacturers don't even recommend emergency contraception when you just miss one pill and take it when you remember. Just be sure to double-check with the info that should have come with your prescription. Hope that helps [Smile]
