I usually take my pill at 9am. but yesterday i took it around 8:15am (approximately)
today i forgot it and only realised when i was no longer able to go back home and take it. I took it later this evening, around 8:15 pm.
I read my pill packet info and it talked about the 12 hour thing. Im not 100% sure if i took the forgotten pill within 12 hours or not. but if it was outside it, it was only by 5/10minutes or so.
so a couple of questions on this, 1)is the 12 hours 'taken' from the time you took the last pill or from the time you usually take the pill? 2)is this considered a missed pill? 3)did i lose protection against pregnancy?
i should note here that this pill was in the 2nd week of active pills, so not within the first 7 or with less than 7 to go.
thankyou so much

If it was over 12 hours, but under 24, it wasn't missed, it was late.
Taking pills late puts you in the typical use rate of effectiveness, not the perfect use rate. That typical use rate is 92%.
