I was thinking about mine the other day, and realized that knowing my own history, and knowing so many other people's histories with methods has given me quite a lot of information and food for thought. So often, we don't find one method that works for us for all of life, or have to fiddle around with different methods until we find the right ones.

Here's mine to start. Obviously, it'll be a bit longer than many of yours, and probably also less varied than some given that so many methods we have now are not methods that were available when I was the age most of you are. I'm also including my BCP failures in there too: that can also be helpful info.

1985 - 1991: Birth control pills + condoms (one pregnancy w/miscarriage: due to forgetting pills and possible antibiotic interaction, not using a condom)
1991 - 1992: Condoms
1992 - 1993: Natural family planning or diaphragm (one pregnancy w/abortion: didn't use FAM correctly)
1993 - 1996: Diaphragm
1996 - 2002: Diaphragm + condoms (one pregnancy w/miscarriage: didn't use condom)
2003 - 2005: Dated women exclusively, no method needed
2005 - present: Condoms + diaphragm + FAM: alternate or use in some combination. Did try minipill for a month or two to help w/menstrual issues and as possible birth control but was allergic as we expected (also tried this to test for that allergy in hopes of using Mirena IUD, but alas). Also used EC twice in this time period.
