My boyfriend and I are taking a little trip in a couple weeks, and I wanted some ideas on how to bring condoms with us. It's rather hot, so i don't want to leave them in the car with our stuff.

I was thinking of putting a few in an empty altoids tin and putting them in my purse, where they shouldn't be subject to extreme temperatures? Are there any flaws in this plan? Also, what are some things that you all have used?

If you have an extra book around, the classic secret compartment could work. Or perhaps you could get a stuffed animal you don't care much for, create an opening in it, and keep the condoms inside the animal. Also, you could get a small pack of opened tissues, and then slip a condom in the middle of the stack of tissues which would effectively conceal it.

Are you bringing a guitar case by any chance? I know this sounds silly but I ask because my boyfriend and I used to keep our condoms (we don't use them anymore) and now keep our lube in his bass guitar case.

Obviously, it would work much better if there's a little compartment in the case (my trumpet case used to have one) so that if you were to take the guitar out to play, you wouldn't fling condoms at everyone [Smile]

Can I ask why it's important they're super-hidden?

I travel with safer sex goods a lot, and just have a fabric bag I always keep that stuff in so I can just pick it up and go, and now and then refill it. The bag is small enough that if I wanted to fit it into a tote bag I have the usual stuff I carry around with me in, I could.

Well, if we were bringing luggage or anything id just bring a whole box, but since it's a day trip I wanted something that I could comfortably fit in my purse.

I would actually be afraid to put them in a bad because i thought they had to be carried in a way where they cant be squished.

Well, my bag has a little padding.

Condoms are packaged well, so if you're not, say, putting a pile of books on scissors on the bag, it's fine to have them in a bag. The major concerns with condoms are heat or cold exposure or them being in a place that gets a lot of wear and tear or weight on it.

One day of heat won't ruin the condoms. They'll be fine.

I recommend a SafeSax bag! http://www.safesax.com/products.html

Ok, kidding.

I think your plans sound fine.

(Also, Suzette C., sometimes calling people "sweet heart" can sound really condescending.)

Hey folks, my name is Andrew and I was a mod here for awhile a couple years ago. I'll be here for a couple weeks while Heather is out and the site is even more short-staffed than usual

I'm pretty sure Suzette C is a spammer. (see the "auto transport" and "car shipping" links in the middle of the post)
