so i am supposed to get my period tomorrow, but i dont want it for the weekend. can i start taking a new pack on thursday and just skip my period for the weekend? or will i still end up bleeding through the weekend even if i started a pack?

You might still have some bleeding, or you might not. There's really no way to know.

However, I want to mention that we don't advise menstrual suppression for younger women here because there has yet to be any study done on anything but adult women doing so, and even those have been very small, short studies. In other words, there may be health risks of doing so, particularly for those whose bodies haven't fully finished developing (which is the case for many young women under 20, sometimes even older). We can't know yet, and until we see some study done, we, as an organization, aren't on board and wouldn't suggest it, particularly when it's just usually about a pretty minor inconvenience.
