Hey, im wondering if you can take the morning after pill after you've been drinking? or will it effect the morning after pill?

AND--

You should ask the pharmacist, chemist, or clinician who you got the morning after pill from about its interactions with alcohol. Your safest route would be to wait until the alcohol is out of your system to take the pills, so long as it's still within the 72 hours after you had unprotected intercourse.

You can take emergency contraception at anytime during your cycle. Ask the person who dispenses the pills if you have any further questions.

According to http://ec.princeton.edu/questions/alcohol.html , alcohol doesn't affect the effectiveness of emergency contraception at all.

The sooner you take it, the more likely it is to be effective, so waiting until the alcohol is "out of your system" would not be a good idea.
