I've been taking birth control for about 5 months now. I always usually take it at or somewhere around 5. Maybe 4:45, 5:15. Usually it's somewhere close. On Tuesday, i forgot to take one, and I took one at 1 am Wednesday morning. Well, I've taken my birth control regularly since then, but Thursday my b/f and I had sex, and didn't use a back up method. Should I be quite concerned?

actually, you SHOULD be conserned. i am also on birth control & have been too for 5 months. you should use a back up birth control method within the 7 days of your missed pill.

ok, im sorry for replying again, but i think you should start reading that little handout each new pack comes with. it should come with a label fixer for days of the week,(i use this because i started taking it on a saturday instead of a sunday) a FACTS sheet all folded up (where i get my info. i give on here to girls using tri-lo too) and obviously, the pills.

DEFFINATELY read the FACTS sheet. it will clear up alot. trust me.

There's a difference between a late pill and a missed pill. You're at a higher risk when you've completely missed a pill rather than having been late by a few hours.

That said, those little pamphlets that come with your birth control are excellent resources. And using a backup method of birth control is ALWAYS a good idea.
