I started my new pack on saturday, I took my pill at 9pm, but on sunday I took my pill 5hrs early at 4pm, I will continue to take my pil at 4pm, but will the inital 5hrs early make a difference to the effectivness of my pill now?

You are probably safe but 5 hours is way outside the normal safe window of about 2 hours (check the insert that came with your pills or with the person who prescribed them). Until you are on your next cycle of pills, you should consider that you have a pregnancy risk and use a secondary form of protection such as condoms.

i see what you're saying. yeah, if you want to switch your pill time, it's ok to make it earlier but not later, for the reasons you cited.
