some of you may have already read/seen this but....

Ive just started reading PROZAC NATION after being recommended it fomr one of my best friends who also gets quite depressed. she said it was really good and could connect with ti quite far, my case is no where near as bad as this, but its pretty cool to read, especailly as its a true account...i think its kinda comforting to read about that kinda thing. its raelly good! definatley go get it- about a girl who is a chronic depressive i think and attempts suicide several times, cuts etc but it is a good book so dont worry- it wont make you feel worse! thats not that point

i got this film out yesterday nad it is just ace! SELMA BLAIR and this other guy...cant remeber....this girl who wants to kill herself and in the proccess gets taken hostage but another thing to make you THINK about things and its GOOD! positive but not away with teh faries kinda fil and WIKID edditing and stuff for all dem film boffs out there!

ARGH!!!!!I REALLY HOPE ITS NOT AGAINST THE GUidelines to promote isnt is it?

okay, well if anyone has any thoughts on these thigns or if they know of any other books nad stuff tehy think are good id really love to know!
loads of love to you all!

*would you love me any less if i hurt you anymore?*

Hey luxury,

The first book you mention is on-topic for this forum, but there are a couple of other forums that are really more appropriate for book and movie reviews -- All About You and Sexual Literacy: Books and Magazines might be more appropriate, depending on the nature of the item.

Okay, hon? I'm glad though that you brought up Prozac Nation -- I've heard that it's quite a good book, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Once we get settled, I'll trot myself off to a library and check it out.

Another 'true story' book on mental illness (yes, I know that sounds clinical) is "Will there really be a tomorrow" by Frances Farmer (the actress). I haven't finished it, but what I have read is extremely disturbing and fascinating at the same time. It's a bit like girl interrupted with all the grimy, cruel things added in.

Hugs & Scully,
