I am now on the 43rd day of my cycle. My cycles are usually every 30-37 days. These are the last couple of periods I've had:

Apr 11, 2013 31 day cycle

Mar 11, 2013 37 day cycle

Feb 2, 2013 28 day cycle

Jan 5, 2013 32 day cycle

I use a website called monthyinfo. It's a very helpful period tracker!

However, I'm slightly worried that my period is now approximately a week late. The last time I had any sexual contact was in early February. What could be causing this late period?

You know, I'd say 28-37 is still a pretty wide range -- in other words, not that regular -- so this likely isn't anything to be concerned about, especially since clearly, pregnancy is a non-issue here.

There are many reasons periods can be late, or cycles can vary. Have you already looked at this?

Thanks for the link! I guess I started worrying because I did a quick search on causes of late periods...and a lot of women commented on how they still received a period during pregnancy...

HI kamille,

To be clear, what people think is a period during pregnancy is actually bleeding for another reason, as when pregnancy starts the menstrual cycle stops. It's also not usually bleeding that resembles a period or comes at the exact time someone is expected a period, though if one has irregular cycles that last part can be a little hard to figure out.

But, as Heather said, since pregnancy isn't a possibility here, you can rule that out as a reason. [Smile]
