So I recently got a testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea. I also asked to be checked out because I had a pretty nasty yeast infection (which my gyno had confirmed as a yeast infection after taking a sample) The nurse did a pap and took a sample and said there was no yeast but there were white blood cells present.
I got an email a few days later saying that both came back negative. Phew!
But then a few days later I get a call from that same nurse asking me to come back in. Apparently my chlamydia test was very negative. However, my gonorrhea was negative but was a bit of a close call.
Anyways, I have to go back in for testing which is kind of annoying because I already get very nervous about this stuff. Has this ever happened to anyone? Do I have a problem on my hands?
FYI, my partner had recently told me that he was tested a little less than a year ago and hasn't been active sense (other than me, where he has been the first person I'm active with)

Really, this is a clinic or doctor being responsible.
We might often think of medical tests as being very black or white, as being only positive or only negative. But in reality, most are much more like a test where you can get everything from an A to and F than tests which are pass/fail.
So, it might be this test gives a negative result again, or not. But either way, I'd say getting retested when a practice suggests it is wise.
Per your partner, if it's been a year since his last tests and now he's with you, a new partner, then it's a good idea for him to go ahead and get retested soon, too. I don't know when he had last been sexually active before his last panel of tests -- or what he was tested for -- but plenty of infections can lie dormant for a while, or not show up yet if we get tested too soon.
