Hi there. Is it normal for it to hurt after you have an orgasm with a tampon in? I really want to be able to masturbate while I'm menstruating (my PMS makes me want sex sometimes and I hear that orgasms can take the edge off of cramps), but all the towels in my house are white, so I can't just "put a towel down," and my parents get angry at me if I take too long in the shower because I'm wasting water. But every time I've tried with a tampon in, it feels like my cramps get much worse starting a minute or two later--even if it's the second or third day of my period, when I don't even usually have cramps. Am I doing something wrong?

Well, tampons can cause more cramping for some people period, probably because they dry out the vagina by design.

How about maybe buying yourself a towel you can put down that isn't white?
