Hi ghf,
One of the first things to try is to simply start up a conversation about something you have in common (a shared interest, hobby, activity, class, etc.) just like you would with someone you simply want to be friends with. See how that goes; then suggest doing something simple with her in a public place (like going out for ice cream, and soft drink, coffee, etc.) The big thing is to be yourself, be relaxed (at least try to be [Smile] ), and patient. Then see/feel how things are progressing before progressing towards something like going out for lunch, movie, dinner, etc. This way you can get a feel for how receptive she may be towards being asked out on a date by you. Also, she has had a better chance to learn more about you as well before being asked and having to make that decision.
Without knowing any more details, like how you know her work ,school, ages, etc., I can only offer what has work the best for me.
