Hey! This is nothing serious, but I was just curious about something:
Is is possible for your jaw to "lock" after performing oral sex on a guy? When I was with my boyfriend, my jaw would sometimes feel stiff after performing oral sex on him, especially if I had been doing it for some time. I was wondering if it was possible for the jaw to get stuck as a result of performing oral sex for too long a period of time. Or is this just me?

I remember one my grandfather's hand "locked". That is, he couldn't move his thumb or fingers for a little bit. I don't remember how he "unstuck" his hand, but I was young at the time, and he didn't seem too concerned. Is is possible for something like that to happen to your jaw?

Thanks very much!

You wouldn't be able to get your jaw to the point where it would lock and not come undone. But, like with your grandfather's hand, if your jaw muscles get tired or strained for too long, they can begin to spasm and "lock" temporarily. It can be painful or there can be no sensation at all, but it can happen.

Without getting into the nitty gritty details, it has to the with the way your muscles fire. When your muscles are being used, they are constantly contracting and relaxing. Over that period of time, the rate at which they contract and relax increases, and if there isn't a period of rest, they will eventually stay contracted, resulting in that "locking".

Ohhh! Ok! Haha, well thanks for explaining some of the science behind it! That's a pretty interesting fact...and I'll have to keep it in mind. How would one "unlock" their jaw?
