I know that cold sores are caused by the Herpes virus, and I have never had one before, however the other day, I got this bump on my lip that looks very much like a pimple. Now, it is not on my lip line, it is directly on my lip, so I figured there is no way it could be an actual pimple, right?
I read up on cold sores and learned that usually there are a bunch of tiny bumps that form together and then pop, ooze and crust over.
I have had this pimple for about a week now. It has not popped, oozed or crusted over, but it has been very tingly and has become very hard. It also appears to have a sort of center to it.
Is this a cold sore? As I've said, I've never had one before and I'm 21, and I haven't recently been in contact with anyone who has had a visible cold sore or anything. It's really bothering me though, cause it's itchy and tingly.
Any help on if this is typical of a cold sore would be great!
