I hadn't thought about it in a while, but when I was little, we were at the school library and I was flipping through a sexuality book for kids. Cartoons, yes, but the cartoons were completely naked and explained sexuality pretty openly, if I remember correctly. There was only one part that I didn't understand back then, and I was thinking on it now. It said something to the effect of "when a man loves a woman very much, his penis can become larger".
Now, in hindsight, I'm thinking it was a euphemism for an erection (no way would I have gotten that back then! lol). What do you think?

I think you hit it right on. The wording in those books is so funny when you read through them again as an adult, because we all know that sex can happen without love, love can happen without sex, etc. The two don't always go together.
