I made an appointment with my doctor to have my annual pap smear and an HIV screening, but after I hung up the phone I realized my appointment is for the day that I start the placebo pills in my birth control. I've been told before that you can't have a pap smear when you're on your period, but since it will be about 5 hours before I take the first placebo pill, can I still keep this appointment? I've never started my withdrawal bleed on the first day before. Thanks

It's unlikely you'll start you withdrawl bleed on the first day of your placebo pills, especially since you never have before, and especially since your appointment is not even after 24 hours from your final active pill.
I think it would be fine to keep the appointment.
