I'm worried I may be pregnant.

A few days after my period had ended last month (I believe this happened on the 20th or 21st), my boyfriend and I had sex--Unfortunately, the condom broke. I'm not on birth control, either.

I was supposed to get my period on the 14th of this month, and I still haven't had it.

I took a Home Pregnancy Test yesterday morning (3 days after I was supposed to start) with a First Response test--supposedly one of those early detection tests, and it came out negative.

More or less, I was wondering if I tested too early to get an accurate result? I think I seen someplace that you can test 10 days after intercouse and get an accurate result, but I'm not sure how right that is.

I quit smoking recently too, so I was wondering if that could have had any effect on my cycle, as well.

Thanks <3

Quitting smoking can certainly cause changes in your body, and especially depending on how you've been dealing with any stresses/withdrawl symptoms that that can cause, it could cause your cycle to be a bit out of whack.

A pregnancy test will be accurate as early as 10-14 days after a risk, so a pregnancy test would be accurate for you now.

If your period still doesn't show, you can retest in a week to double check, but it's likely since you've gotten a negative result and you didn't test too early for a pregnancy test to be accurate, you probably don't need to worry.
