I have a two questions regarding the Nuvaring, help is much appreciated.

1. My friend who's in grad school studying to be a sex therapist and is on the ring says that in order to skip a period, you take the ring out after the third week and immediately put a new one in. The gynocologist who gave me the nuvaring rx said to just leave the ring in for all four weeks - which is correct?

2. I know you can have penetrative sex with the Nuvaring in place, but is it noticeable? Would either person be able to feel that something's in there besides a penis?

Thanks oodles!

amawesome - (adj.) a combination of 'amazing' and 'awesome,' usually by someone who has tied on a few too many. Ex: No, dude, listen! I like, luv ya man! I mean, you're like, amawesome!

1. If you replace the ring after week 3, you are less likely to bleed because you won't run out of hormones. Leaving the ring in for 4 weeks is less predictable -- the hormones remaining at 4 weeks may not be enough to stop the bleed.

2. Some people report feeling it, other's don't.
