I have recently heard that my clitorus is more sensitive than a guys penis. Is that true?

You always hear about how guys have alot of pleasure when their penis is stimulated but is it just as pleasurable or more for a girl when her part is stimulated.

Yes, much. There are more sensory nerve endings in the clitoris (which is larger than the external portion you can see) than there are in any other body part or orgasm of either men or women.

Uncircumcised men have more senory nerve endings that those who have been circumcised, as well, as the foreskin contains those.

The tricky bit about your second question, though, is that the experience of pleasure isn't just physical: it is also emotional and psychological, so we can't accurately quantify how much please a given person experiences from stimulus to a given body part because it's more complex than that.

In health class I have heard the same, that uncircumcised men are more sensitive in their penis.

Why do they even circumcise men if thats the case?

Also, Is that the reason girls can have multiple orgasms and guys cant?

Men can have multiple orgasms, too. It's just not quite as common.

Why circumcision is done is a big, big topic, and if you do a site search, you'll find a handful of threads in which that is discussed. But sexual sensitivity is just not something taken into account by those who do it, or made a priority.

(Psssst twistgirl. There's an important thread here about circumcision.

I don't know if you've seen it but this might clarified some of the things for you.)

I've already mentioned in another post that I'm Jewish (though I don't practice any organized religion), and when I was born, in 1946, there wasn't much discussion of if Jewish boys should be circumcised. So I guess I won't be revealing any deep secrets by saying I'm circumcised.

It may be that an uncircumcised penis is more sensitive than a circumcised one, but if no one had told me I never would have noticed. I couldn't have imagined it feeling any better, so no one has to feel sorry for men like me.

Men can have multiple orgasms, though to a lesser extent than women. But I'm quite sure that circumcision has nothing to do with the ability to have multiple orgasms. Men have evolved to be the way we are for other reasons, though I don't know what they are.

If they had asked my permission, I might be other than I am, but perhaps lessening of sensitivity has an advantage. I could say more, but it would probably get edited out. [Smile]

That's the thing about infant circumcision. Those who have undergone the procedure as an infant have no way of knowing what they've lost or if they've lost anything, in terms of sensation. I've heard few circumcized men complain about this, although some certainly do, most are perfectly happy with what they've got. The only person who can really make a comparison between what it's like to have an intact penis versus a circumcized one, is a man who has been circumcized as an adult. Unfortunately perhaps for researchers in the topic, there aren't too many individuals who choose to be circumsized as adults. I wonder why.

Of course, circumcision is done for medical reasons sometimes too. I was circumcised at a youngish age (9 or 10 I think) because I had developed an infection under my foreskin. Well I can't say much about loss of sensation, since I wasn't masturbating at that age, but from what little I can remember, I think I'm happier sans foreskin.
That said, circumcision as an infant for any reason, including religious reasons, seems really wrong to me. No offence meant to members of the Jewish faith etcetera of course, I just think the decision should be left to the person to make as a mature adult. I have the same beliefs about baptism, and I'm annoyed that I was baptised as an infant and confirmed (basically a ceremony where I had to retake by baptism vows as an 'adult') at the age of 10 when I didn't know better.
Anyway, rant over. [Smile]

Thanks for your reply. Have you seen the circumcision thread? It looks like you might have some good things to add to that discussion.
