Hey there! Check out this site, it will answer your questions

Any form of birth control can regulate your periods, and can make cramps a lot lighter, and you'll have a lighter period. Studies say that birth control can cause blood clots, and they say that you shouldn't smoke while on it, especially if you're over 35.

Birth control does have *risks*, but it doesn't happen to everyone. Check it out, and ask yourself if birth control is right for you. There are MANY different forms of birth control out there, just ask yourself, which one would be right for you?
