I was supposed to start my period on Dec.22nd and I have yet to start and am very nervous...

I did engage in sexual intercourse in the beginning of the month but I was protected and it did not break...

I am under alot of stress due to a nasty divorce that my parents are going through along with some other things going on in my life..

I feel like I am going to start and when I put a tampon in it is light bleeding and brown debri..

I am just very nervous...

if anyone has any answers plz let me know ...

thanks

It sounds like your period is on its way.

If you're concerned, you can always take a pregnancy test. Tests are accurate 10-14 days after the last risk (though since you say the intercourse was protected, your chances of pregnancy are slim).

You really shouldn't be using tampons until your period really starts. Using tampons with higher absorbancy than is needed increases your risk for toxic shock syndrome.
