how late can your period be? once, my period was two weeks late, and my friend was a month late.

The thing with periods and "lateness" is that in all honesty, unless you normally have periods like clockwork and you've had a pregnany risk to mean something could be up when a late period shows, lateness is more realitive and not as much late as your body being slightly irregular.

Irregularity can happen even to women who have had their periods for years and years and who have had the same cycle for years and years. And irregularity is especially frequent in younger women, which means it's natural to NOT have your period after the same number of days every cycle, whether it be by two weeks or a month.

This isn't really lateness, just irregularity.

The only time it should ever be a concern is if you don't have a period at all over a couple months (so like, you've had a period, then the next two months when you should get one you don't), at which time it would be good to speak with a gynecologist.
