I am currently in a long term relationship and after being tested and waiting a few months for my birth control to kick in, we started having unprotected sex. He is the first person Iíve ever had unprotected intercourse with and there is something Iíve noticed since we starting having sex. My vaginal smell has changed completely. Itís almost as if itís him that I can smell down below. Itís very odd because before there was either no smell or a slight odor. This new scent itís bad or anything, itís just strong and not my smell.

Is this normal?

On a side note: It's been a long time since I lasted visited. How is everyone?

hey buffchick, long time no see! glad to see you back on the boards

could it be that what you're smelling is residual semen? semen has its own distinct smell. that could be causing you to smell a little differently. if you abstain for several days and give your vagina a chance to rinse out, see if it smells like you again. if so, then it's the semen.

you're getting your checkups and tests, right? i'd hate to hear a ST veteran not put good advice to use

Is it normal for the odor to be that strong?
