hi. this is kind of embaresing but I have to know.
ive been with my fiance for over a year now and up until recently sex with him was great. But now every time we have sex it really burns afterwards and i feel like i need to constantly pee. I know its not a sti because when i had my papsmear i got tested for those aswell. does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be???

Are you having the burning/needing to pee all the time or just after sex? If it's happening all the time, then it's possible you have a UTI. Remember, things like UTIs and yeast infections (both of which can be classified as STIs) can pop up on their own. If that's what you're noticing, then you should head to your doctor ASAP to get treated. It's a really common, easily fixed problem...but you don't want it to get out of control because it can land you in the hospital.

If it's happening only during sex, then I'd suggest that maybe you need to add more lubricant. It could be that you're not using enough lube and are experiencing the burning due to little tears created by friction. In that case, adding extra lube and trying a new position (in case the ones you're using are putting pressure on your bladder or bruising your urethra a bit) may help.

no ive noticed its only after sex. I went to my doctor today and she said it sounds like something called cystitis. im now just waiting on my tests to come back....so fingers crossed its not serious.

Cystitis is the most common type of UTI (urinary tract infection - also sometimes referred to as a bladder infection).
