I go to my doctor every year for a pap smear and they always draw blood. I always assumed they were checking for all the stds. Was I completely wrong?

they could be checking for a lot of things. sometimes it's STDs, sometimes it's something as simple as cholesterol. if you really want to know for sure, you need to ask your doctorwhat he/she is testing for. then you can ask them to test for other things, like STDs as well.
