Yep.

Most people (and animals too) masturbate in some way all their lives, even sometimes in infancy.

My niece is about 3.5 yrs old. And she does masturbate in a certain way, however she doesn't realise it.

She sits on the floor with her legs under her bumb (knees on floor) then spreading her legs out she rubs against the floor.

My girlfriend says she remembers doing something similar against a wooden horse she had. They just know it feels "funny" or "strange" not really what is happening.

I know most little boys start really early. Speaking from growing up with 7 boys in the close family, in their younger ages, like under 4, they were all always rubbing or pulling on themselves. It's perfectly natural, they don't know what it is they're doing, they just know it feels good.

Love is natural, and everything that goes with it. ;)

Actually, that isn't at all gender-based.

Both young boys and girls tend to masturbate in some way, even in infancy.

i was one of those who started around 5. And I've actually had the opportunity, in recent years, to have little girl-talk sessions where other girls have had almost identical stories about their pillows and bed corners and bathwater and hand sprayers..... so, it's definately normal in my book if we all have stories like that so young
