I recently had sex with my boyfriend for the first time. We have had sex two times after that, with about a day or two in between each time. Although it didn't hurt much any of the times, the first time I bled a lot (which I know is normal). However, I am still bleeding a little. Is there something wrong? I know I should go to see the gyno. since I am now sexually active, but do I need to go NOW (as in is there a serious problem?)

Hi gal,

actually, slight bleeding can be expected during the first few times that you have sex, so considering you've had only little breaks between each count of intercourse, it really isn't anything to worry about. The only time I'd worry is when the bleeding either wouldn't stop or got heavier. Otherwise, this is all within the normal range, and nothing to loose sleep over.

However, you should indeed head to the gyno as soon as possible. - For a Pap, an STD screen and discussing birth control, too. So make an appointment today, eh?
