Hello, new to this site.I just wanted to say that I really like this site, and it has given me information about sex that I didn't know, and I thought I had heard it all.
One of the reasons that I was directed here was that I was about two weeks late starting my period. (I finally got it today!) My boyfriend had been staying at my house for the past week, and I was afraid that I might have been pregnant. I'm a virgin, so I didn't think so, but I was still afraid. So, I asked around, and was directed here. I learned through this site that yes, with what I was doing, I could get pregnant. (My boyfriend and I had never gone beyond dry sex.) I was terrified for about a week. I'm going to a doctor in a few weeks to get tested for STDs and to get a PAP. (I'm 19.)
I just wanted to reiterate to all the girls who could find themselves in my position to *always* protect themselves. And to make sure that you know you CAN get pregnant if you don't have sex. It's not likely, but it's possible.
And I wanted to share what I've learned: I've learned two things from this experience that I want to share with all the girls out there:
1. Don't have unprotected sex. And make sure you know that it's still possible to get pregnant without having him inside you or without ejaculation. (Neither of those things happened with me and my bf.)
2. Don't take your youth and freedom for granted. Once you get pregnant, you are not the most important person in your life anymore. I can tell you that when I thought I wouldn't have any more nights in the dorm with my girlfriends listening to the radio, I wanted to cry. You don't realize what you have until it's in jeopardy. Please, don't gamble it away.
