of course i have the normal menstrual blood clotting and everything, but earlier i had a (sorry for the icky details) really big long stringy one. it came out to be about 2 inches across. it is alot larger than the ones i normally have. would this be considered normal or something i should tell the doctor about? what could have caused it to be different than the rest?

Sometimes I get really big clots too. I won't be quick to say it's normal, but they haven't given me much trouble.

Koger: that combined with the mid-cycle spotting and the fact that you have an IUD right now is a Very Good Reason to call your GYN.

I advise you do ASAP.
