I'm 17 years old and I always thought I was straight until now... I mean I like boys. I like boys a lot. But recently Im starting to think I have a crush on a girl. Like a huge crush. I feel all happy whenever I think about her and it's really cute and adorable, but I don't know. It's all new and weird to me. Plus I've never been in any relationship to begin with. I'm pretty sure she's straight. And I have no Idea what to do with these feelings. Is this normal? I know there's nothing wrong with it. I'm just freaking out because I don't know what to do. And I don't find any other girls attractive, but I really like this girl. I'm so confused.

Well, our feelings for people, whatever they are, usually are based on much more than someone's gender. We also don't have to "do" anything with feelings if we don't want to: we can have them without doing anything about them if we don't want to act on them in any way, don't feel right about it, or it seems like whatever actions we'd take don't make sense in a certain situation.

We can also have crushes on people that aren't about sexual or romantic feelings, but I can't tell you if the feelings you're having are that kind or not. What do you think?
