I read a book called "Am I Blue?" not too long ago. I thought it was pretty good. It's about sexual orrientation. If you get a chance, pick up a copy from the library.

This one story was saying that if a particular person had any kinds of homosexual experiences/feelings/thoughts/etc. they would turn blue. Some people would turn more blue than others, but some wouldn't turn blue at all.

I hope this isn't too personal of a question, and it's not like I'm going to judge anyone, but...

How blue would you be?

I have a boyfriend, but I have experimented with a girl, and looked, and thought.

I'm just curious on how blue some other people would be. I hope this doesn't offend anybody, or anything... And I know a fair amount of you are already homosexual, but what about those who aren't?

Well, I'm not offended by the question.
I'm bi
At the moment I would say I'd probably be a very deep shade of blue. VERY deep. I'm in a bit of a 'guy phase' at the mo
But other times.. maybe a light sky blue, other times not blue at all.
It all depends, I see my sexuality as fluid. That could just be me though, 'cos I can be weird sometimes

I too read that book, very nice anthology, as part of PRISM, my school's diversity club. It actually led to the creation of the GSA, in which I am a founding member and the first gay student. I would be cerulean pretty permanently.

The short story Am I Blue? is by Bruce Coville for all the fantasy fans out there, and Am I Blue, the anthology, is compile by Marion Bauer.

This shouldnt scare me. It really shouldnt. But it does. One night while lying in bed I got to thinking. I dont know if I really feel this way or if it was just that I was really that tired but I thought to myself what do I think about being bi? Now, I am not bi, but I have never had a problem w/it. Lying in bed, I thought, if the occasion arose, I might try it. I mean, I wonder what its like to kiss a girl...After a lot of thought I decided that if I were to find a girl that I actually loved like that, then I decided I would try for it. Maybe its just my little teenage mind going through so many changes and having my hormones worked up, I dont know. I have actually looked at a girl before and thought "Wow, shes really pretty". I have thought this more than once, although it was about the same girl every time. Is this normal for a girl my age (almost 15)? What do you think?

Of course it's normal. I have a boyfriend, but I look at girls some times. I've got blue tints. It's cool.

Oh yeah, you never know if you'll like something or not unless you try it. It's perfectly normal if you have feelings for someone of the same sex.

Humans are attracted to humans.

My motto is: "You fall in love with the person; not the gender".

(For those of you who don't know: I'm a lesbian.) Right now I'd probably be a royal blue... Yea, that sounds about right. I'm not totally hooked on women, but I haven't found a guy that I'm sexually attracted to yet. I'm floating more towards women, but ya never know... So I think royal blue suites me right about now. For a while I was DEEP BLUE. Bluer than, well, blue! It changes from time to time.

By the way, good topic, Keoki .

I think I'm a big marbelized blue heart, with all different shades swirled around. LOL . . . it's so late my mind is getting just a little too artsy for my liking.

Hehe, Mary... Royal blue... It just sounds, I don't know... Well, sexy I guess with the royal there.

I wish the anthology really would be true. That would be cool to wake up one morning and see blue people in different shades, or none at all. I think that society would have a very different aspect of gays and lesbians. And straight people for that matter. Sexual orrientation! Hehe, big word.

tempura paint? Yummm

Anyway, this is interesting. At my school we had some pride week and in the school paper there was an article about how we should wear blue to show our pride. Blue??? I thought, where'd they get that? Now I know The picture accompanying the article was of a little blue smurf... hmmm.

Now let's see... yellow is opposite blue on the colour wheel, and yellow and blue make grey... so, I guess maybe I'm bluish grey.

I have beautiful blue polkadots

Well, actually, no. At the moment I'm a darker blue than usual, since my relationship situation is changing again. When I am in a female-male relationship, I don't have those thoughts very often, because I'm focusing on that person, and my attraction to them. When I am emerging from a relationship, I get darker when I am once again seeing everyone and everything in equal light without the influence of my current sexual partner.

In general, while in a relationship, I'm a lighter shade of blue. When the relationship is winding down, I get darker until I am in another relationship. It fluctuates, and I can't be trusted

I've heard of that short story and anthology but hadn't had a chance to read it yet.

I would say that right now I'd be blue between the ears. I'm in a relationship with a boy right now, and we're intimate fairly often and so it doesn't come up very often RECENTLY that I can fall head over heels for girls (and boy have I...), but every so often I'll just start thinking about girls again, and damn...Also, when we are apart (we're in a LDR, but won't be apart again till August) I'm much more likely to think of girls, and so: right now I am blue between the ears, but once I am back at my school in NY I will be a nice, light shade all over...maybe sky blue...mmm.
