So, I recently(a couple of months ago, actually) broke up with my boyfriend of a year and a bit, and I was having some trouble moving on. Today at school we ended up talking and I ended up telling him how I've been curious as to what it would be like to have a girlfriend. We(I felt it would be awkward to go alone) talked to one of our gay friends, but that didn't really give me much help.
So, I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to go about getting a girlfriend?

If there are groups such as queer straight alliances or GLBT youth groups in your area, those can be good places to meet other young people who are 'same-sex attracted'. And you can always start by making friends first and take dating from there if you do become interested in someone.
