i'm beginning to think that i may have an anger problem ever since i got bashed in school. usually when i get mad, i would just ignore it. but lately, i've ben exploding at the smallest things. appearently i've even given myself an ulcer. my girlfriend said that i've been kinda pushy (sexually) with her. i don't wanna push her or anyone else away from me. that's not how i usually am. i really dont know what to do. i used to drink alot and i dont wanna end up doing that again; i'm only 15. do you think that i should get anger management?

Well, if you suspect you've had issues with substance abuse in the past ("I used to drink alot"), you may still be dealing with whatever issues are tangled up in that, as well.

"Anger management" in itself may not be necessary, but it can help to talk things out with a third party, like a therapist. Healthy coping skills aren't instinctive--they're learned, and a professional can help you do that.

It sounds like your behaviors are getting in the way of your daily functioning, especially with your girlfriend, so finding a counselor you can trust and talk to may be a good next step.
