Just a reminder that we work hard to make Scarleteen and all parts of it safe spaces for our users.
Even though the limits and guidelines we set and hold take care of a lot of that, as does users abiding by them, it's still important to be midnful about this.
So, one thing I wanted to make sure everyone knew was that it's important to keep that in mind with who else you might bring or send here. Sure, anyone can Google and find this space, but at the same time, we ask you choose wisely with who you bring over here. If you know or strongly suspect someone is or has been unsafe for you or other people, PLEASE do not bring them over here. That can make this space less safe for our users, and also will sometimes mean we as a staff have to work more to be on the lookout for unsafe folks or clean up messes those people tend to make when they do some to a space like this.
If and when someone is an abusive or unsafe person and they need help, this isn't often a sound space for them, mostly because we have so many vulnerable people here, and that also involves some specialized training we just don't have. However, if you want to ask us for resources for someone like that, you always can and we'll be happy to help find them.
