Is is okay to refer users to other threads when they have a question that has already been answered before by a volunteer. I just think that this prevent posting misinformation like I used to. Sometimes, it is just an identical question. And also, the answer seems more accurate for the user if it comes directly from a volunteer or Miz S.

That's certainly fine! [Smile] When a question appears that had been answered in a different topic already, there is nothing wrong with referencing the original question.

In fact, a big part of why we moderators will often remind users of the search function is because more often than not, a question has been answered before in an existing topic, and quite often in about the best words possible!
