Hello,

I recently read that more women are experiencing Post Menstrual Syndrome symptoms. Up until now I had no idea that women could have PMS symtoms after their period was finished. How common is it? I'm asking because I have been experiencing some PMS symptoms after my period finishes. I was curious as to why that was happening. I read that it's due to exposure to toxic fumes and pollution and a poor diet.

You know, I've personally got some issues with the term "syndrome" being applied to either of these things.

The fact is that people can experience things physically and emotionally due to the fertility and menstrual cycle every day of that cycle. And that's the case no matter how someone eats or what environmental toxins someone may or may not have been exposed to. And really, having those effects, in general, isn't any kind of disorder.

That said, if one finds they are having pretty extreme symptoms related to their reproductive system, something always can be going on. What are we talking about here?

Thank you, Heather, for your comments.
I'm not actually experiencing extreme symptoms, but I just noticed that I was having some PMS symptoms around the time that my period ended. It could be because I'm still experiencing some after effects from the pill which I stopped taking 2 months ago or perhaps just the environment...In any case, it's no big deal, I was just wondering....
