I take the Microgynon 30 combined contraception pill. I had a 7 day break where i bled and then took the pill yesterday midday. I had unprotected sex in the evening, even though my doctor told me to use a condom for a week. I know it was stupid, but i really need to know if there is a risk that I could get pregnant from that.

Could I be pregnant?

Was this your first month taking the pill? Or, if you'd been taking it previously, did you have some problem last pack with it?

Generally, you only need to worry about backing up during the first week if it's a) your first pack or b) you've had some issue during your previous pack. Did your doc give you a reason for needing to back up for the first week?

If this was not your first month and you did not have any problems prior to this, then your risk should not be higher than usual with just the pill. (In other words, you wouldn't be at more risk than the usual failure rates.)

way too early to tell my friend, but if you bled im sure your not going to be pregnant. bleeding is a sign after ovulation and when you bleed all that stuf gets flushed out, if your pregnant, then its a miracle, you dont ovulate for your next time after your period until your ready to start your next one. should have listened to your doc but we all do it, im almost 99% positive you'll be fine
